 Danny the Silly Leprechaun

Danny was a leprechaun

A three foot tall freak

His greasy red hair stood right up

And boy, his feet did reek

Nobody wanted to catch him

He never carried gold

Instead this crazy leprechaun

Had a pot of mold

Danny liked to dance a lot

A silly little jig

He also liked to ride around

On Oswald his pet pig

One day as Danny rode about

He saw a lovely sight

A fairy with such beauty

That she radiated light

He asked her if she’d marry him

Let his true feelings show

The fairy simply laughed at him

And then said “ummm, no!”

Danny was heart broken

Did not know what to do

So Danny drank a potion

And soon the leprechaun grew

But what did he accomplish

Still a freak, but now just big

The fairy still didn’t love him

And he couldn’t ride his pig

Danny was now so depressed

He began to bawl

So now I guess the moral is

Leprechauns are more freakish tall

...its over

 Nothing To Do With Candy

It makes me grin to see you sick

From cookies filled with arsenic

I feel my heart beat in my head

To see you dead

To see you dead

It’s you who makes me wake at night

Gasp or scream

Shake with fright

Turn on the light

Run down the stairs

But no ones there

No ones there

I stop and I call out who’s there

But no answer comes

Cause no one cares

Lonely nights with books I wrote

I’ll shove these colors down your throat

A blood on canvas painting scheme

But none of it is what it seems

Not what it seems

Not what it seems

Put it down, step away

Is that what you say?

There is no other way

To discribe what I feel

Yes the feelings are real

Sometimes these things are meant to be

You will see

Come with me

Come with me

I wrote this a while ago when i was mad at my art teacher. Its not really one that i normally right but i think thats y its 1 of my favorites. I named it nothing to do with candy because...well it really has nothing to do with candy.

 Masquerade

This is one of my favorite poems I've written. I tried to put in all 7 deadly sins. It became pretty dificult but I seemed to pull it off.

Masquerade

Her shoes barley touch the ivory steps as she enters the grand hall

Watching swirling cloth of dresses and masked faces at the ball

She is greeted by the sparkling lights and scents that fill the air

Everything she sees so perfect but no other seems to care

The owner of the gorgeous house collects money at the door

He stuffs his greedy pockets full but is always wanting more

His wife screams at the servants, saying they do nothing right

She grits her teeth, her face turns red. She’ll have no fun tonight

A woman struts around the room, jeweled and feathered head to toe

She carries round a silver mirror and lets true vanity show

A man sits in the corner, softly nodding off to sleep

It’s a pity to see such laziness while others bound, twirl and leap

Two women stand by a table, the sweets all piled high

They lick their sticky fingers clean, corsets too hard to tie

As she looks around the room, at each masked and covered sin

She notices a tall, handsome man gallantly wander in

Her green eyes meet his blue ones as he swiftly takes her hand

They passionately dance together to the music of the band

Although his face was masked you could see lust in his sharp eyes

And she soon falls in love with him, no matter how she tries

And when there dance had ended and he took another’s hand

Envy burned in her green eyes and she forgot the ball so grand

A lovely, golden masquerade with riches heaped within

But the beauty of the night is masked because of deadly sin

 Dear Diary,

I killed a spider today. One of those big black ones with the legs that stick way out and the eyes that twitch and shine if you can get close enough to see them without it scurrying away or scaring you have to death. I thought of it as a personal sacrifice. A sacrifice for the good of the world. I thought of how the little creature would be screaming, OH PLEASE NO! It would beg and cry, WHY? OH WHY? If only it had the ability. But I was on a mission. A mission from God! Helping with the fly population and the well being of my poor mother, who after seeing it on the shower wall would shriek and step backwards onto the dial soap, causing her feet to slip out from under her and her body to crash to the floor, breaking her spine in three spaces. Leaving me to have to come home from school to do the housework, cooking and the care of my siblings. After five weeks of dirty dishes, sticky spaghetti and fights and complaints about everything and anything I wouldend up falling asleep on the couch with cookies in the oven, which would lead to the burning of the whole apartment. And so it was plain to see what I had to do. As I looked into the napkin at the smooshed guts and small legs still twitching, I thought of how my life was much like that of the unfortunate spiders. How I too had no other purpose but to make a trap, catch someone and suck them dry. Dry of hope, dry of love and most of all dry of their precious blood! That someday if I drink enough may give me the power to fly also!
